Roland Dubois is the Co-Founder & CXO at Virtuleap, founding designer at studio.zeldman and the creator of GRAVR — A globally recognized avatar for VR on the web; the first and only API for personalized and accessible VR built for users, developers & designers. Previously, Roland co-founded the consulting agency and dev shop ByteDept., designing projects for some of the world’s most respected brands in a variety of verticals including entertainment, consumer goods, education, digital and print publishing, and market research. In an outreach program with Scholastic and Samsung, he taught app development to hundreds of student across the US. He graduated from University of Applied Science, Munich with a degree in Communication Design (Munich, Germany).
As an active member of the immersive web community, he is the host of the official A-Frame NYC Meetup and the WebXR New York Meetup groups.
